JSC “Latvijas valsts meži”(“Latvia state forests”) Innovation Partnership Procedure
JSC “Latvijas valsts meži” sought to acquire a solution for timber transportation logistics and optimization algorithms, tailored to meet industry-specific requirements and conditions. The solution needed to utilize current road information, consider availability and speed, and no such solution existed in the market. To address this, the chosen procurement method was an innovation partnership.
Contracts were granted to the top two bidders in June and August 2019. The first contract was awarded to the bidder with the most economically advantageous proposal. The second contract was signed with the second-best bidder, outlining that this contractor would gain the right to collaborate with LVM if the innovation partnership process with the first bidder was terminated as per the contractual procedure.
